"It's been an honor to channel my passion for Bremerton into my role as your City Councilmember for District 2 over the past 20 months. I look forward to serving you for another 48!"

About Denise

Denise moved to Bremerton in 2014 after her grandson Liam was born here to her Coast Guard son and his wife. With a long career in YWCA leadership, Denise was hired as Executive Director of YWCA Kitsap County in 2015. There, she worked with Poulsbo Rotary and others in the community to develop Morrow Manor, 8 units of permanent supportive housing for victims of domestic violence and their children.

Denise retired from YWCA in 2018 but then was recruited by the Bremerton Chamber of Commerce to fill its President and CEO role. When COVID hit in 2020, Denise launched the Bremer Bond Campaign, raising over $40,000 for local businesses. During her time with the Chamber, she oversaw the transition of a 1980's era organization into one of current relevance and set the stage for a successful merger of the Bremerton and Silverdale  Chambers to make today's Greater Kitsap Chamber of Commerce.

Denise is known throughout Kitsap County for her love of Bremerton and its incredibly diverse residents. Since joining Bremerton City Council, she has worked to support District 2 residents and businesses, and to promote Bremerton as a great place to live, work and play!
